     The double-pass AAO template can be obtained by removing the barrier layer of the single-pass AAO and underneath aluminum substrate. With the support of the aluminum substrate, the single-pass AAO is an opaque sample with colored surface, and double-pass AAO template is generally translucent. Double-pass AAO films with different sizes are illustrated as follows.

     Color of the double-pass template mainly depends on the electrolyte composition, electrolytic voltage or current density and electrolysis time. Crystalline state of the double-pass film is greatly related to the electrolytic current density. Under super-high current density such as 2000-4000A/m2, the formed film can be changed into crystal.

     Strength of the double-pass AAO template depends on the porosity and template thickness. In general, the lower the porosity is, the higher the strength is; the thicker the template is, and the higher the strength is.

     Degree of the order of the front side of the double-pass AAO template is generally better than that of its back side, so the front side is placed upward during packing, and the upward side is the front side after opening the sample box.

     Pore arrangement structure and degree of order of the double-pass AAO template are the same as those of the single-pass AAO template product except for the samples with special specifications (such as unique design of the surface morphology or unique structural design of the section). It should be pointed out that for the scope of different apertures such as smaller than 50nm and larger than 100nm, it is necessary to use different electrolytes, so the pore arrangement and degree of order are different.
